The Company is seeking a Head of R&D (Agronomy) to lead the formulation and implementation of its research and development programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing research programs focused on the development and implementation of mechanization in plantation activities to achieve optimal operational costs. Key responsibilities include formulating agronomic strategies, conducting crop production analysis, developing integrated pest management systems, and collaborating with the engineering team to create mechanization solutions tailored to regional conditions. The role requires extensive technical skills, experience in leading research teams, expertise in research administration, and a minimum of 5 years of senior management experience in the oil palm plantation industry.
Applicants for the Head of R&D position must have a Master’s degree in agricultural services, at least 12 years of experience in agribusiness and R&D, and a strong background in regenerative agriculture. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge and experience in research related to soil fertility, pest and disease control, and the utilization of a healthy ecosystem. Excellent communication skills and fluency in English are essential, and overseas experience is a plus. The role demands a confident individual with a can-do attitude, willing to travel within Indonesia.
