Job Description
 
The Finance and Accounting Senior Officer will be working under Finance team to oversee the validation of transaction ad verification of the overall impact on the general accounts and maintain compliance with government’s and donor’s requirements. A collaborative team player who will be focused on compliance, auditing and reporting aspects related to finance, also to manage the general accounting tasks including reconciling and maintaining balance sheet accounts and general ledger operations, verifying journal, preparing a monthly closing and finance reports, also preparing account/bank reconciliations, assets and liabilities reports. Someone who used to work in fast moving, complex situations, in high pressure environments, ideally with multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams, often in geographically dispersed locations, within a matrixed organisation.
 
The Finance and Accounting Senior Officer will be a full time and based in Semarang, Indonesia reporting to the Finance Manager.

Responsibilities
 
- Oversee the validation of transactions and verification of their overall impact on the general accounts and maintain compliance with government’s and donor’s requirements
- General accounting tasks, including reconciling and maintaining balance sheet accounts and general ledger operations, verifying journal, preparing monthly closing and financial reports, preparing account/bank reconciliations, assets and liabilities report
- Review contract with donor or client to ensure legal requirement concerning tax is met
- Lead internal financial auditing and be focal point for financial auditing by third party
- Review financial paperwork and procedures, provide recommendations for necessary changes
- Ensure all expenses are within assigned project budget and verify the completeness of all required supporting documentation for all payments vouchers
- Ensure account receivables and payables activities are performed accurately and timely
- Verify reimbursement expenses from all staff and payment for third party vendors
- Prepare tax payment and monthly report.
 
Requirements – Candidate Profile Minimum Qualifications
 
- Willing to be based in Semarang, Central Java
- Bachelor degree, or other equivalent higher level in Accounting
- A deep understanding of the tax, financial, accounting, and financial auditing systems, and experience in non-profit organization would be an advantage. 
- Has Brevet A and B for tax certificate
- Brevet C (is a plus)
- Proficient in Accounting Software such as MYOB
- Excellent in Microsoft Excel & Word
 
Language skills
 
- Bahasa and English proficiency
