Position Summary
The Area Sales Manager- Central Java will report to the Regional Group Manager & Key Account Manager. The incumbent needs to manage end-to-end daily sales operation with distribution in the are appointed area for INCO & Consumer Tissue business. The Incumbent needs to develop, and control all sales activities towards the agreed sales, growth, and profitability targets.
You will play an essential role to:
- Sales & Distribution
- Responsible for total sales performance and all KPIs (General Trade, Modern Trade) for all appointed Distributors and Sales Representatives.
- Consolidate and review monthly sales results and initiate appropriate action steps, promotion plans, and activation plans to deliver targets.
- Builds and maintains strong relationship with distributors, customers and ensure strong communications and alignment towards long term profitable growth.
- Performs negotiations on contract and conditions with identified Distributors as well as Local Key Accounts, MTI, Pharmacies and Moms and Baby Shops within the level of authority given.
- Oversees sales forecast to meet annual budget and financial forecast requirements as well as taking responsibility for related SMA budget.
- Monitors competitor marketing efforts and industry trends to take appropriate pre-emptive and responsive action.
2. Inter-Departmental Collaboration
- Builds & maintains strong relationship and collaborations among departments in Indonesia, such as Sales, Marketing, Logistics, Finance as well as regional office support team (i.e.: Marketing, Product Supply, HR).
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Degree in Business, Marketing, or relevant discipline
- At least 3- 4 years working experience in a dynamic FMCG / MNC environment where relevant skills have been developed to reflect the required change in distribution within Indonesia market.
- Experience in managing FMCG sales & distributions and Trade Marketing activities.
- Strong leadership traits and interpersonal skills, experienced in managing a big team, and strong in people development.
- Strong written and communication skills, fluency in English, and the ability to communicate well with regional and global counterparts.
