Canadian Programme Officer (contract for 6 months/PKWT)
 
Job Description:
He/She will be support the Canadian Program Manager in planning and implementing Canadian-funded training programs, conferences, workshops that are held primarily in Indonesia and on occasion in other geo-strategic locations. Under supervision of the RCMP Program Manager, work closely with the JCLEC Capacity Development Manager and the Event Management Team to ensure the activities meet the needs of Canada while also being consistent with JCLEC’s service approach and policies. This includes maintaining cooperative internal JCLEC relationships to enable the effective planning and implementation of events.
 
Responsibilities:
- Support the planning of Canadian-funded programs in Indonesia and other locations, as required.
- Support the Canadian Program Manager in the delivery of the Canadian-funded programs, as required.
- Contribute to the overall effectiveness of Canadian programs and the Capacity Building Unit in Canada.
- Maintain effective relationships and communication with JCLEC and the Canadian Capacity Building Unit.
 
Requirements:
- Experience in event, project or program management, particularly in a bi-lingual environment is highly desirable.
- Attention to detail.
- Bi-lingual, both conversationally and in writing – Bahasa Indonesia and English.
- Budget management through the use of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
- Positive relationship management with an ability to interact with a diverse range of stakeholders including JCLEC management, external guests and visitors, and staff.
 
Qualification:
Professional Certification, Diploma, Adv Diploma, bachelor’s degree.

The Jakarta Centre for Law Enforcement Cooperation (JCLEC) was established in 2004 within the grounds of the INP Police Academy in Semarang, Central Java by the Governments of Australia and Indonesia to support the development of Indonesian and Regional transnational crime prevention capability through the delivery of professional training opportunities and capacity development activities and projects. The JCLEC Foundation is registered as a not-for-profit organisation under Indonesian Law and is jointly managed by Government personnel from the Indonesian National Police and the Australian Federal Police.
