Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Customs Supervisor to lead and manage all import and export activities of the company. This position will ensure that all import and export processes comply with applicable regulations, optimize customs processes, and effectively control import and export costs.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Handling Import and Export Business:
- Responsible for the customs declaration, clearance, and settlement processes for imported and exported goods to ensure smooth customs processes.
- Prepare and review related documents, including customs forms, invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, etc.
Duties and Taxes Calculation:
- Calculate and pay related customs duties and taxes for imported and exported goods, ensuring timely payment.
- Know and apply the latest tariff policies and regulations to optimize tax expenditures.
Logistics Coordination:
- Coordinate work with customs, quarantine, logistics companies, and other related parties to ensure goods arrive at their destinations on time.
- Monitor the status of goods shipments and resolve any issues that may arise during the logistics process.
Compliance with Policies and Regulations:
- Understand and follow national and local import and export policies and regulations to ensure the company’s business compliance.
- Report the latest changes in customs policies and laws to company management regularly.
Data Management:
- Create and maintain import and export business records to ensure the completeness and accuracy of all documents and data.
- Manage and archive related documents regularly for easy searching and auditing.
Internal Collaboration:
- Collaborate with related departments within the company (such as purchasing, production, sales, etc.) to coordinate import and export business processes.
- Provide consultation and support related to import and export to each department, helping resolve issues related to import and export business.
Customer Service:
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints related to import and export business, providing professional solutions.
- Maintain good relationships with customers to enhance customer satisfaction.
Cost Control:
- Optimize import and export processes to reduce logistics and customs costs, improving overall company efficiency.
Risk Management:
- Identify and evaluate potential risks in import and export business, developing mitigation measures.
- Take effective emergency actions in urgent situations to ensure business continuity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in International Trade, Logistics Management, or other related majors.
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience in customs, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or managerial position.
- Familiar with national and local import and export policies and regulations, and understand import and export processes.
- Proficient in office software, with good data analysis and processing skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills, able to work effectively with related departments.
- Careful, patient, with a high sense of responsibility and teamwork spirit.
