Responsibilities
- Manage Data Warehouse and Reporting: Oversee our Cloud SQL data warehouse and reporting infrastructure to support scalable, high-performance reporting.
- ETL/ELT Development: Develop and implement ETL/ELT processes from various data sources in our data warehouse.
- Data Governance: Apply in-depth knowledge of data governance best practices to maintain data integrity and compliance.
- Stay Current: Keep up-to-date with the latest data engineering technologies and tools to continuously improve our systems.
Requirements
- Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field with a minimum 1 year experience in Data Engineering or equivalent
- Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with ETL tools, REST APIs, and data integration techniques.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python
- Understanding of data security and compliance best practices.
- Experience with relational (RDBMS) and non-relational (NoSQL) databases.
- Knowledge of data warehousing, data lakes, and cloud computing.
- Experience with Unix-based operating systems.
- Proficiency in version control using Git.
- Have a knowledge in statistical analysis.
- Proficiency in configuring and utilizing BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to connect data sources and facilitate data-driven insights.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Communication and Teamwork: Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- ERP Knowledge: Understanding ERP systems is a plus.
