Job Description
- Collect, process, and analyze large datasets to extract meaningful insights.
- Develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms to solve business problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and business analysts, to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
- Perform data cleaning, preprocessing, and feature engineering to prepare data for analysis.
- Create data visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and continuously improve skills in data science and machine learning.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
- Validate and evaluate model performance using appropriate metrics and techniques.
- Document technical specifications, methodologies, and project requirements, and maintain project documentation as needed.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and other agile processes.
Qualifications
- Proficient in developing T-SQL scripts using Structured Query Language (SQL).
- Knowledgeable about the design concepts and structures of transactional relational databases and analytical data warehouses.
- Skilled in managing and configuring SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability Groups.
- Capable of developing ETL processes using Airflow, Python, and SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services).
- Proficient in SQL query analysis and optimization.
- Understands SQL Server database maintenance tasks such as Backup/Restore, index maintenance, and query store analysis.
- Experienced in developing and managing big data platforms using Hadoop with HDFS and Apache Hive.
- Familiar with system design documentation using Unified Modeling Language (UML) and Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD).
- Capable of operating Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) platforms such as Azure DevOps and/or Jira.
- Has a strong understanding of the concepts and implementations of the System Development Lifecycle and its methodologies
- Proven ability to build, manage, and foster a team-oriented environment.
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
