We are a high-end innovative furniture manufacturer with hundreds of employees, based in Semarang. Founded in 2003, we design, engineer and manufacture unique products for customers in the USA, Europe and Asia-Pacific. Our furniture is used in resorts, hotels, cruise ships and luxury residences.
Job Description
The Furniture Designer, will be responsible for the following:
• Develop innovative and creative furniture designs, based on guidelines from customers and company owners.
• Work closely together with other designers and the engineering, costing, sales and marketing teams.
• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, while maintaining attention to detail, project quality and adherent to timelines.
• Propose new designs, new materials and innovative ideas.
Requirements
• Able to work on-site in Semarang (Indonesia).
• Minimum bachelor’s degree in product design, engineering or equivalent.
• 5-10 years’ experience in furniture design, and in-depth knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes and industry trends.
• Proficiency in the appropriate design software such as AutoCAD, Sketchup or similar.
• Combining analytical engineering knowledge with an aesthetical sense for materials, textures and proportions and a profound understanding of ergonomics.
• Excellent communication in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
