Job Title: Head of Finance (Apparel/Garment Industry, Semarang, Indonesia)
About the Company:
Our client is a leading player in the garment & apparel manufacturing industry, with multiple factories within Indonesia and across China and Bangladesh.
About the Role:
The Head of Finance will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing the financial operations of the factories in Indonesia. The role focuses on ensuring efficient financial management, compliance with local/international accounting standards, and optimizing financial performance. This position requires a strategic leader with extensive experience in MNCs and a strong background in finance operations within a manufacturing context
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all financial operations within the factories, ensuring alignment with the company’s financial policies and procedures.
- Lead the finance and accounts teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to optimize factory performance and support business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, including local Indonesian tax laws.
- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making processes.
- Monitor and manage financial risks, including currency risk, credit risk, and operational risk.
- Coordinate and oversee internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with international accounting standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support overall business goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional qualification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is good to have.
- Extensive experience in financial management within a multinational corporation (MNC), particularly in a manufacturing or factory setting is preferable.
- In-depth knowledge of financial operations, accounting principles, and financial regulations.
- Strong understanding of Indonesian tax laws is advantageous.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a high-performing finance team.
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior management and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
