As we expand, we are seeking a strong Purchasing Manager to join our team, playing a crucial role in the procurement processes for production.

Job Description: The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for overseeing the procurement processes for all materials and products used in furniture production, ensuring that the company maintains cost-efficiency while securing high-quality materials. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills and a deep understanding of the furniture industry supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies to support production schedules and business needs.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers to secure the best prices, quality, and delivery schedules.
  • Monitor and analyze inventory levels, ensuring timely restocking and availability of raw materials.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers and contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and sustainability goals.
  • Coordinate with design, production, and logistics teams to ensure material availability aligns with production timelines.
  • Manage the purchasing team, providing leadership and direction to achieve departmental goals.
  • Track market trends, supplier performance, and product innovation to support strategic decisions.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate reports on purchasing activities, inventory levels, and cost savings.
  • Address issues related to supply chain disruptions, quality control, and supplier performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field (preferred).
  • At least 5 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management, preferably within the furniture or manufacturing industry.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • In-depth knowledge of the furniture manufacturing process, materials, and industry standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
