KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for supporting the procurement department in sourcing, purchasing, and managing suppliers to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. This role involves assisting in the procurement process, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Review and validate Purchase Requisitions (PR) in accordance with company policies.
- Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers.
- Select, and purchase goods, materials and services as per project requirement in a timely, safe and cost-effective manner.
- Prepare and issue solicitation documents and obtain multiple quotations or proposals as per Company’s process.
- Communicate with suppliers to negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedule whilst ensuring quality.
- Prepare various reports (daily, weekly, monthly) as required.
- Prepare and issue Purchase Order, Service Order or Contract on timely manner.
- Monitor existing orders’ status and resolve any discrepancies
- Ensure timely delivery of products and services, addressing issues to be highlighted to Supplier and Management.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and documentation.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing suppliers to ensure quality and reliability.
- Analyse supplier performance and market conditions (industry trends, pricing, and new products) to support procurement decisions.
- Work closely with other departments to understand their procurement needs.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree from any discipline Mandarin, Supply Chain Management or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in the same role.
- Familiar with procurement of goods and/or services in manufacturer in Central Java, Chinese company is an advantage
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Good communication and reporting skills both verbal and in writing, specifically the Mandarin language
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability and willingness to travel as required
- Multi-culture knowledge and working experiences is preferred
