About the role: We’re looking for a Technical Editor to join us. Your day will include writing, editing, and revising technical materials, including user manuals and other technical documents. This opportunity is based in our Salatiga office in Central Java, Indonesia.
Job Description:
- Reviewing all technical documents and UI messages for clarity, grammar, spelling, punctuation, content, and style.
- Working with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure accuracy.
- Maintaining and improving the quality of the content.
- Advocating the reader: reviewing and editing documents through a reader’s eyes, while considering the document’s purpose.
Requirements:
- Fully fluent English speaker or Indonesian that has experience studying (4 years) or living (3 years) abroad (UK/Australia/USA) is a plus.
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Writing, English, Journalism, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in the related role is preferable.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail and a dedication to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Know how to use Google Suite: Docs, Spreadsheet, Slides, etc.
- Have an understanding of Science or Engineering – Mechanical/Automotive is a plus.
- Applicants must be willing to work onsite in Salatiga, Indonesia.
